2.What Data We Process
SurfacedGEO processes the following data to deliver its service:
- Your Wix site's public URL and publicly accessible page content
- Audit queries you submit and the resulting reports
- Historical audit results stored in your site's CMS
- Your Wix account user ID (to associate reports with your account)
We do not process sensitive personal data, payment information, or data from your site's visitors.
3.How We Use Your Data
Data is used solely to: (a) run AI visibility audits against publicly accessible information; (b) store and display your audit history; (c) improve the accuracy and performance of SurfacedGEO. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
4.Legal Basis (GDPR)
We process your data on the basis of: contractual necessity (to deliver the service you've installed), and legitimate interests (to improve and maintain the app). Where AI processing involves third-party providers, appropriate data processing agreements are in place.
5.AI Processing
SurfacedGEO queries AI language models (such as those powering ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini) using your site's public URL and content. This analysis is performed on publicly available data only. Query content may be transmitted to third-party AI providers under data processing agreements that prohibit use of your data for training.
6.Data Storage & Retention
Audit results are stored within your Wix site's CMS (controlled by the Wix platform). We retain configuration data for as long as the app is installed on your site. You may request deletion at any time by uninstalling the app or contacting us.
7.Third-Party Services
SurfacedGEO runs on the Wix platform. Wix acts as a data processor and operates under its own Privacy Policy. AI query processing may involve third-party providers (e.g. OpenAI) under their respective data processing agreements.
8.Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to: access, correct, or erase your data; restrict or object to processing; and data portability. Contact us at info@wearedigitalvision.com to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9.Changes to This Policy
